Scorpion ID help - Hadrurus arizonensis

Scorpion ID help - Hadrurus arizonensis
Borrego Springs, San Diego County, California, USA
March 21, 2010
Size: about 3 inches (7-8 cm)
I found this specimen under a board in Borrego Springs one early morning. Can someone please help me identify it?
/Jakob

likely
This is probably H. arizonensis "pallidus", a pale color form found among sand dune areas. There is also a similar color form among dune populations of H. obscurus. The localiy is good for H. arizonensis "pallidus" reports, but H. obscurus is also found at ABSP. I is impossible to say for sure which species it is without looking at certain characters like the trichobothria on the hands.
