House Cricket Couple - Acheta domesticus - male - female

House Cricket Couple - Acheta domesticus - Male Female
Perry County, Pennsylvania, USA
The poor male looks like he got crushed under the female's immense weight

Great photo
Is the translucent white globular area a spermatophore? ...or structure on the male?

I assume it is a spermatophore
although I don't know why it was not transferred to the female
