Size: About 1 1/2"
i think this is a wolf spider, but i could be wrong. it was about an inch and a half big (including the legs) & was jumping from rock to rock down by the edge of the salt river.

Could be a Pisauridae (Nursery web spiders) but cant tell. You could distinguish looking at the eye pattern.

You can see the posterior lateral eyes situated far back on the "head".

Behavior shouts "Pardosa!" They are very common along rocky riverbeds here.
