Nice find...
I haven't found one yet, so I'm jealous.

 
They are most common
in flat open areas, under large rocks. Some of those areas can look quite barren at times. You will see a silk tunnel and hopefully one of these in there.

I found some more under a rock on the other side of the Bay this weekend. Not sure what abundances are like in your area, but I'm beginning to suspect they're more abundant here than I had thought. They hide in the their webs pretty well, so searching for the webs might be the best way to find them.
