Yes, good call by John Maxwell. This is a nice picture of a late instar Australian cockroach, and I've added a thumbnail of it to the Periplaneta overview page.

but maybe Periplaneta australasiae (Australian Cockroach)

I think you're right
BTW, the so-called "Australian" Cockroach is from African origin, just like its "American" relative.
