Identification, Images, & Information
For Insects, Spiders & Their Kin
For the United States & Canada
A great comprehensive source, with detailed species distribution maps, checklists of state faunas, common names, &c. Please note, however, that other sources have been recommended here as 'BG standards'.

revise entry?
You might want to revise the "No longer available..." because the site is preserved on the Internet Archive (see other comment). That new URL isn't visible under the Links tab and, seeing "No longer available...", someone might not bother clicking through to the full description.
Your call...

done -- thanks, Steve

dead link
searching Google didn't yield any working links. Sadly, even the USGS still has the dead link.

thanks for letting me know; it was a vital resource...
i'll ask the authors

thanks for checking
Unfortunately, this means that not only is the website gone but the money the USGS granted to get the website going in the first place is down the tubes
