Taphrocerus - Aphanisticus cochinchinae

Size: 3 mm
Curious to know if anyone can recognize the species. It looks like Taphrocerus sp. to me, but I haven't seen one with a pronotum like this one has. Perhaps it only occurs in Florida?

Aphanisticus cochinchinae
Hi Jason, your beetle is the invasive Aphanisticus cochinchinae. It is all over the tropics and occurs in the southern U.S.

Thanks, other than the pronotum it looked a lot like Taphrocerus.
