Mitchell's satyr - Neonympha mitchellii - female

Mitchell's satyr - Neonympha mitchellii - Female
Berrien County, Michigan, USA
July 16, 2000
Female Mitchell's satyrs are larger and tend to be lighter than the males, allowing the eye spots and orange bands to stand out more brightly.

These last two images are much nicer.
We unlinked the two images since on BugGuide 'link' is reserved for multiple pictures of the same individual. Also don't need to type the word female in the title since the symbol will appear when you click the box for female. We'll edit it out. Looks like you two made it back to Michigan confortably. Glad to see some images being posted of the MIchigan fauna!

Thanks
I think I'm starting to understand how to post images properly. Sorry for the errors.
Nate
