Size: 15 mm diameter
Weathered sac suspended by numerous silken strands in foliage of small (1 m tall) eastern red cedar sapling in grassy old field. Based on the description and photo in Eiseman and Charney (1) (page 38) of the egg sac of the yellow garden spider (Argiope aurantia) and coupled with my previous documentation of this species in the same field, I strongly suspect that is what this is.
