Millions of these bugs at the edge of my driveway.

are famous for their mass aggregations. They will disappear as sudden as they pop-up.

They are springtails of Class Collembola

They aren't dangerous and can been seen in large congregations like this. Someone more familiar with them can probably tell you more.
