Erythrodiplax minuscula - Little Blue Dragonlet - Erythrodiplax minuscula

Erythrodiplax minuscula - Little Blue Dragonlet - Erythrodiplax minuscula
Stuart, Florida, USA
November 23, 2005
I think this is a female Erythrodiplax minuscula. Can anyone confirm this, it WAS a pretty small dragonfly, I think, and seems to have a good color pattern to fit Little Blue Dragonlet. Let's see what everyone else makes of it... :-)

Can't see the appendages
well enough to say for certain it is a female, but would agree with minuscula and would say it is the same species as your which clearly looks like a female.

Thanks!
Yeah, I was wondering if they were the same species, and if they were a Little Blue Dragonlet. I hadn't realized that Odonata exibited any sexual dimorphism, let alone extreme dimorphism. Thanks a lot for all the help you've given! :-)
