Carphonotus testaceus

Carphonotus testaceus
Fish Creek Park, Calgary, Alberta, Canada
March 20, 2010
Size: 2.7 mm
A series of these cossonines were collected from under bark of a spruce log (in an old bark beetle gallery). Interestingly they appeared to be in some sort of suspended animation when I first saw them- they revived when I brought them back home.
