Foldingdoor Spider - Antrodiaetus

Foldingdoor Spider - Antrodiaetus
Columbia, Missouri, USA, Boone County, Missouri, USA
April 6, 2010
Entrance to burrow. The silken portion was approx. 2 inches long within the leaf litter. The rest of the burrow dropped straight down about 17 inches. It appeared that only the tube collar and maybe inch or so of tube were lined with silk. The silk appeared absent (or so light as to be unnoticed) for the majority of it's depth.
