"Spider" is as far as I could get with this one - Tmarus
Caspers Wilderness Park, San Juan Capistrano, Orange County, California, USA
April 6, 2010
Found on poison oak in a very shady oak grove. Looked like a seed, and there were plenty of those on other leaves. I've seen a couple other spiders with postures like this, but the body looks completely different here.

Ah! The exquisite Tmarus.

What a great looking spider, Ron!
And apparently a really good find too -- first submission for this genus from California!! According to Steve Lew's list, this should be either T. angulatus or T. salai.

Thanks, all.
I'm inspired to go back there, after buying a ring light.
