Strange Little Hopper?

Strange Little Hopper?
Montrose, Laurens County, Georgia, USA
April 4, 2010
Size: less than 1 mm
If it weren't for the bright color of this guy, I would have missed it entirely. Found on pine tree trunk with several others. The closest match I could find was for an exotic-sounding Aphelonema simplex, but, this is found in swampy areas. Anybody familiar with this one?
