Moved Chionodes trichostola
Moved from
Chionodes
.
BOLD:AAH5082 contains the BOLD samples identified as
Chionodes trichostola
. This doesn't fully match the original description but Powell's image is even more different. There seems to be a lot of variation in BOLD:AAH5082. Hodges 1999 placed this species in a
trichostola complex
with
C. parens
, Hodges 1999, and
C.sevir
, Hodges 1999. I don't have a copy of Hodges 1999, MONA Fascicle 7.6. There are examples of both
C. parens
and
C.sevir
at BOLD but none are barcoded. This may be one of those two or it may be something new. Placing it tentatively in
C. trichostola
for now.
