Ball Gall Wasp? - Callirhytis perfoveata

Ball Gall Wasp? - Callirhytis perfoveata
Redwood City, San Mateo County, California, USA
April 10, 2010
Size: 9 mm
I found this round, firm leaf gall on a small oak tree. Not sure, but I think it was a coast live oak. Using Ron Russo's field guide, I'm thinking this might be the work of C. perfoveata (Ball Gall Wasp)? I'm including a photo of the bisected gall, which seems to have one main chamber.
