Sharper image would help,
but I'm fairly certain that these are
Schistocerca obscura
. This species usually doesn't live through the winter, but this far south it is more likely to happen.
S. americana
and
S. nitens
routinely overwinter, but this isn't either of those.

Bird Grasshoppers, Schistocerca genus
Is what those guys are. I'm not sure which species though. If you have a bigger, closer pic, I could probably figure it out. David might know even with these images.
