A Syrphid (Sericomyia?) visiting Alpine Avens (Geum rossii).

Chryosotoxum sp. (Syrphinae)
A stout, dark species, with a relatively short third antennal segment, which is actually reminding of Sericomyia. But, this latter has no greenish yellow on the thorax and lacks this typical color pattern at the apex of the abdomen, found only in Chrysotoxum.

I wondered about the green on the thorax. So thanks, Richard, for your comments.
