Orb Weaver - Neoscona crucifera

Orb Weaver - Neoscona crucifera
Harvard, Worcester County, Massachusetts, USA
September 6, 2002
Is this a Neoscona crucifera?

It sure looks like one.
Are they found in MA? Also, the species is large, as big as A. trifolium or marmoreus. Adult females in FL reach 18-20 mm.
Neoscona are somitimes confusing.

It was large, I'd estimate 15-20mm. So it looks like they are this far north. Thanks Jeff.
