This should be Quedius cinctu
This should be Quedius cinctus, an introduced species but there should be a dorsal shot of the head just in case.

Actually Tom, I checked varia
Actually Tom, I checked variation in the published descriptions and this should actually be under Quedius capucinus, a native species. My notes referred to a head character but the elytra are all black so we don't have to go there.
