Brown moth with blue eye spots - Antheraea polyphemus

Size: 5 3/4" - 6"
I found this striking moth clinging to a miniature pomegranate tree that I have in my foyer, just inside my front door. I thought she was dead until I touched her; I think she may be getting ready to lay her eggs, so I left her in the foyer to protect her from predators.

Moth Identification
Thanks to Mike Quinn for identifying this beautiful Antheraea polyphemus. Judging from its large, feathery antennae, it appears to be a male.
