Here the wasp has landed, carrying a small pebble. You can see a thin yellow appendage coming straight down below her head with which she's clasping the pebble (I can't tell if that's a mandible or a (maxillary or labial?) palp). The entrance hole to her nest is visible below and slightly to the left of her head. It must have taken some significant effort for her to dig that hole.
