Don't know what kind of fly it is,

but it has been attacked by a pathogenic fungus. You can see examples of similarly afflicted flies (and other arthropods) here.

Oh wow! Never knew that a fun

Oh wow! Never knew that a fungus grows on/in insects. Can anyone say what kind of fly this is? Does this fungus attack only one type of insect? Seen a few pics in the link that look to be the same type of fly but no ID unless I missed it.

ID of this fly will be problematic

Critter is beat up and distorted by the fungus, plus image is a bit blurry. I think I see bristles on the far end of the abdomen, which could indicate Tachinid.

Suggestion: Move your post to Flies (Diptera) for expert review.

Don't worry about it.

I already moved it to the fungus-killed fly page. It's unlikely that further ID will be possible in the fly's current state.

For future reference... To move an image, click on "Tag" underneath the picture, then navigate to the page where you want to drop it and click on "move tagged images" at the upper left of the page.
