There have been several of these really fuzzy black caterpillars crossing the dirt road. They seem to have brown spots under all their black fuzz. Thanks for your help ID-ing this adorable fella.....Denise

Wooly Bear
I had one of these and it became a Saltmarsh Moth - beautiful white moth with black spots. It ate wild pea vines (or more accurately the blooms on the vines). I LOVE these little guys - so cute!
