New host associations for Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) from selected species of Leguminosae and Rutaceae
By Marlin E. Rice
Journal of the New York Entomological Society 93(4): 1223-1225, 1985
ABSTRACT: Twenty-four new cerambycid host associations are reported from southeastern Texas. Specimens reared from Cercis canadensis, Sesbania drummondii, Sophora secundiflora, Zanthosylum clava-herculis, and Zanthosylum fagara. Plectromerus dentipes is recorded for the first time from Texas.

Natural history observations on Tetraopes and other Cerambycidae (Coleoptera) from the Great Plains ecosystem
By Marlin E. Rice
Journal of the Kansas Entomological Society 61(4): 412- 419, 1988
ABSTRACT: New biological information concerning host-plant associations and/or significant geographical distributions are presented for 16 species of Cerambycidae from the Great Plains ecosystem in the following genera: Ataxia, Crossidius, Dectes, Ecyrus, Mecas, Megacyllene, Oberea, Sternidius, Tetraopes, and Urgleptes. Season-long phenological data are presented for two sympatric four-eyed milkweed beetles, Tetraopes femoratus and Tetraopes tetrophthalmus. The distribution of Tetraopes pilosus is influenced by soil type and characterizations of the habitat are given based upon soil associatio

Hovore, F.T. and R.L. Penrose. 1982. Notes on Cerambycidae co-inhabiting girdles of Oncideres pustulata LeConte. The Southwestern Naturalist 27(1): 23-27.

Abstract

Nineteen species of cerambycid beetles found co-inhabiting Tepehuaje (Leucaena pulverulenta, Fabaceae) girdled by adult Oncideres pustulata LeConte at the Sabal Palm Grove Sanctuary, Cameron County, Texas, USA, are listed and their habits briefly discussed. Literature concerning cohabitation of O. pustulata girdles by other longhorned beetles is reviewed.
