Identification
Easily recognized by the 3rd and 5th interstriae produced into bumpy ridges behind middle.
Range
cosmopolitan, native to Australasia; in our area, throughout temperate Canada and south to NC & CA(1)(2)
Habitat
frequently associated with stored products (incl. grains); under bark, in mouldy wood, vegetable refuse, moss, stacks of wood, haystacks, cellars, herbage, leaf compost, nests of wasps/bees & rodents(1)
