Ground beetles ... of South Carolina
Ciegler, J.C. 2000. Ground beetles and wrinkled bark beetles of South Carolina (Coleoptera: Geadephaga: Carabidae and Rhysodidae). Biota of South Carolina. Vol. 1. Clemson University, Clemson, S.C. 149 pp.

by Janet C. Ciegler

A faunal survey of the Ground Beetles and Wrinkled Bark Beetles of South Carolina is presented. Keys, brief descriptions and drawings are provided to aid in identifying the 479 species that have been found or are likely to occur in South Carolina. It was written because, until now, there was no single book that would permit identification of ground beetles from the Southeast. The first in a new "Biota of South Carolina" series, this book should make it possible for any serious collector, amateur or professional, to identify any ground beetle found in the state.

This publication sells for US $20.00 (price includes all taxes, shipping and handling charges) and can be ordered either on the Internet, with a Visa or MasterCard at http://dprod4.clemson.edu/olos/asp/searchmain.asp, ["Enter Biota"] or by sending a check or money order, payable to Clemson University:

availability of this book
As far as I can tell, this book is no longer available. None of the links in this thread work anymore. I wish I still had my copy of this book!

Still available

you are right, still available
Thanks Curt - my bad!! There are lots of copies left - it is a great book for ID of ground beetle higher level groups throughout the USA, thanks to the excellent illustrations. Just bought my second copy (even though I'm now in Colorado!).

It is a very handy book
And I thought it was unavailable for a while too, because it's so hard to find on the Clemson website.
Also, there's a pdf floating around of corrections and errata, not sure if you have that.

Errata
I would be interested in getting a copy of the errata.
