Callosamia promethea? - Callosamia - Male
Cocoon collected off US 17 nr. the bridge over the Chowan River, Bertie County, North Carolina, USA

This moth appears to be a male promethea (but strongly patterned?).

There is also the possibility this moth is an example of an angulifera x promethia cross, which has been known to occur on occasion.
