Size: About 2.5 cm long.
Very interesting moth having green eyes and unusual head features.
This moth was attracted to the backdoor light. The lot is a mixed deciduous/coniferous wooded lot; also with some dogwoods. There is a nearby river.

Thank you Eric :) I almost missed this incredible moth. I saw some white at the bottom edge of a shingle and almost dismissed it as a bird dropping. Until I noticed the reddish tuft from the head. I'm glad I did not miss it though, very cool moth :)
