Spring Stonefly - Soyedina vallicularia

Spring Stonefly - Soyedina vallicularia
Jefferson, Coos County, New Hampshire, USA
April 20, 2010
Size: 9mm to wingtip
Identified by Don Chandler.

the Russian root of the generic name suggests Ricker's authorship; it was his thing, and he produced many dozens of names for NA stoneflies with conspicuous Ru/Uke connotations, but i have no clue what possessed him

Ricker
It sounds like he was a great naturalist who liked to travel and explore.
