Fairy Moth - Adela trigrapha - Male

Size: ~18-20 mm (wingspan)
This image reveals the large eyes this species has; have to wonder if part of their life cycle might not be nocturnal.

Found in association with similar red-crowned morph with shorter antennae here:

It is trigrapha
Here in the bay area we have A. trigrapha. Moving up into the Sierra there is an overlap with A. eldorata, which sometimes has males with the red head.
