the best one we have so far; i esp. appreciate the sharp view of the antenna: antennae are diagnostic and that's why i was able to make the call without hesitation

both pretty and nasty -- that's why they call it A. museorum
a cosmopolitan sp., apparently not that common in NA
true bugs never have over 5 antennomeres; nor do they have wide scales, i suppose

most-likely, yes
It looks like it has lost a lot of scales, so the original pattern is lost. However, A. verbasci is known for the patch of white at the posterior terminal end of the pronotum.
