Long-Bodied Cellar Spider - Pholcus

Long-Bodied Cellar Spider - Pholcus
Marblehead, Essex County, Massachusetts, USA
July 31, 1997
Size: 8 mm
This was found in the corner by the ceiling. It did not move.

Moved to genus for now
Moved from Longbodied Cellar Spider. This looks more like a P. manueli to me but without a clear view of the chelicerae, I would leave the ID at the genus level.

Tom,
Jeff Hollenbeck identifies this as Pholcus phalangioides (female or immature male) as in this picture. The male Scytodes would look much more like the female. What do you think?

Pholcus
I agree. I goofed big-time with the identification...partly because the spider was found in the living room ( not the basement )

Thanks
