Size: about 6 mm
I've looked at all sorts of ant-mimetic mirids, but I simply cannot find a match. There were several sunning themselves on a cool morning. They all looked similar.

Nice shot and nice find!
It's a new species and new genus in BG.

Moved from Plant Bugs.

Thank you.
Can you recommend a good up-to-date reference(s) for mirids that would help me identify what I find here in Texas?

I usually use [url=http://res
I usually use On-line Systematic Catalog of Plant Bugs provided by AMNH for obtaining related materials. In addition, for eastern species, I usually use Knight, 1941 (1) and Blatchley, 1926 (2).

But, I have no idea about a selected list or materials for mirids in TX. Maybe, Mike has a species list but it seems to lack many species.

Thank you again.
I have only used the AMNH site occasionally and tend to forget about it. Thanks for pointing it out.

Not, an ID, but check this out:
They can look very different when adult

Ron, close but not the same.
It's an adult while yours is a nymph.
