Could be Stenolophus lineola
but image does not show two
small distinct
dark spots
widely separted
on pronotum as reported for that species. Why could image not fit, for example,
Stenolophus maculatus (LeConte)
known in the southwest? Latter species not reported from TX (could be new!), but rather AZ, CA, NV, WA in Bousquet & Larochelle (1993).

Agonoderus
by Heading (1964). Differs from
S. lineola
by pronotum with larger black spots almost touching and head mostly dark with round occipital pale spot.
