Size: 14 mm
Found some peculiar looking Parcoblatta(?) underneath a moist piece of cardboard in my shed. There was a group of three, but one of them tried to hide under the shoe that I was wearing and when I shifted my weight it got crushed.

They look like male and female last instar Parcoblatta? The male is jet black and the female appears to have some cream color around the outline of her body. Not sure if they are the same Sp. or not

I agree with your assessments. The roach in the foreground has those really long wingbuds that lack clear venation- when you seen venation it suggests to me that it is a mature cockroach tegmen. The length of the wingbuds is what you see in many taxa right before they get their adult wings in the next molt. The cockroach in the background has the light coloration on the lateral margins of the thoracic segments that can be seen in other genera but also in Parcoblatta. This is not always present on the adult when you see it on the nymph, and I have been confounded by some nymphs that have such distinctive changes. As usual, I am excited to see what the adults will be.
