Explanation of Names
Cyclosa turbinata (Walckenaer, 1841)
Size
females: 3.3-5.2 mm body length; males: 2.5 mm body length (1)
Identification
Females of turbinata differ from conica by being smaller in size and having a pair of anterior dorsal humps. (1)


Levi (1977) also comments in the text that the anterior dorsal humps are "often indistinct" (pg 82).

Connecticut, central New York, southern Michigan to Washington, south to Central America. (1)
