Sphecodes confertus female
Note sickle-shaped, elongate, simple mandibles, median groove (hairs within visible in image) of broad clypeus, broad head, and densely punctate scutum

John, thanks for the id! I was out collecting with Michael Veit yesterday. He got plenty of bees, and I collected a couple bees, and lots of other bugs:-)
