Inside rolled (violet ?) ragwort leaf - Agonopterix senicionella

Inside rolled (violet ?) ragwort leaf - Agonopterix senicionella
Opossum Creek Retreat, Fayette County, West Virginia, USA
May 1, 2010
Size: 6-7 mm
There were quite a few violet plants (actually golden ragwort Senecio aureus or Packera aurea) with one rolled up leaf and one caterpillar inside each. They don't look at all like fritillary caterpillars; very small, they could be an early instar. Could they change so much between instars (I doubt it) or is it a different Lep using the same host plant?
(Specimens collected on 4/28/2010)

Update 5/21/2010: correction, the plant is not violet but the basal leaves of golden ragwort Senecio aureus.
Update 5/17/2011: HOSTS lists only one Oecophoridae, Agonopterix senecionella, feeding on this plant.

I collected similar leaf rolling caterpillars in Virginia's Shenandoah and got an adult
