Extra markings and shading - Phidippus regius - male

Extra markings and shading - Phidippus regius - Male
Seminole County, Florida, USA
October 7, 2005
Here he is as a sub-adult. He retained the extra spot markings, but lost the shading that he had the previous instar. Also, notice the top of the carapace. The marking has been reduced from a small line to two spots.
