Size: Aprox. 3 inches
Has ant/termite like pincers on the head. found multiple specimens under rocks.

"Hellgrammite"
This is the larva of an insect known as the "dobsonfly,"
Corydalus cornutus
. They are aquatic predators of other invertebrates in streams and rivers. They come ashore to pupate (the next stage in the life cycle before the adult). Fishermen prize these as bait, but be careful, they can inflict a wicked bite in self-defense.
