Size: about 7-8mm est
This was a darkly colored bug and I had some trouble getting the light to illuminate it properly, so I included several images... feel free to frass what isn't neccesary. I have only ever found these at lights so I know not of host plant associations, etc.

Very difficult. There are about 200 western species.

Yes, mirid bug...
Miridae family, genus Cylapus most likely to me.

I've shot a ton of mirids, but none of these. Keep finding the new stuff.
