I take it from =v='s comment that it's safe to move this here. If I am mistaken, I assume he will correct me.

looks like a Green June Beetle - Cotinis nitida
To me - unless there's a similar looking one I'm unaware of. I think there might be a smaller beetle that this sp. looks similar to. Forgot what that one was.

 
Here's your smaller species, Euphoria fulgida.


I can't tell whether the scutellum in the posted specimen is covered by a pronotal projection or not (the distinguishing characteristic between the species, apart from size).
