Scymnus sp? - Rhyzobius lophanthae

Scymnus sp? - Rhyzobius lophanthae
long beach, Los Angeles County, California, USA
May 6, 2010
Size: 2mm
A small but diligent group of these were found cheerily feasting upon pygmy date scales. Scymnus?

A.M. Parker agrees this is Rhyzobius lophanthae
Moved from Dusky Lady Beetles.

You guys are awesome
But I'm sure you know that already. Do either of you happen to know what the larvae look like?

some photos on linked page
http://www.hortnet.co.nz/key/keys/bugkey2a/nowings/mobile/catpillr/rhyzlv1.htm has images of a Rhyzobius species larva. It's flat-bodied, purple-red, and a little hairy.

Thanks Abigail
I returned to the spot where I found this beetle to find many more adults and a few larvae this time. If this turns out to be the same species (sure looks like it to me based on the linked photos) it would add a couple larva photos to Bugguide.
