I didn't know you were on Bugguide Martin, (Even though I looked at your images of SWD) I work for David Haviland in Bakersfield and he was just showing me several emails from you on SWD and how to identify the females. I spent the other day putting a bunch of Drosophila in vials, I guess he wants to send you some samples of non-SWD we're collecting in Kern Co. and some SWD females we have identified to make sure we're correct. With that huge ovipositor I don't know what else around here they would be :)
