With middorsal spots, this is a coiled Sigmoria (Rudiloria) trimaculata trimaculata (Wood) (Polydesmida: Xystodesmidae). The faint colors indicate that it is either a subadult or an adult that has very recently molted with not enough time for deep colors to yet develop. Rowland Shelley

Sigmoria trimaculata(1) seems to be the common colored millipede in the Berkshires. Did it seem more colorful in life than in camera?
