Stink Bug - Podisus maculiventris - male

Stink Bug - Podisus maculiventris - Male
Kenner, Jefferson Parish, Louisiana, USA
May 7, 2010

I'm working too much with these guys
This is a male. You know it's getting ridiculous when a passing glance can tell you easily.

Moved tentatively; will try to get the ID confirmed
Moved from ID Request.

ID confirmed by D.B. Thomas

Thanks for your help!
And please thank Mr./Mrs./Dr. D.B. Thomas for all of us :)

That's my guess.
It's definitely Podisus. The black vertical line where the wing tips come together pretty much solidifies that. P. mac is probably the best option, but I don't know which other Podisus species are in Louisiana, so you might wait for a bit.
