Odorous ant, genus Technomyrmex relative? - Dolichoderus taschenbergi

Odorous ant, genus Technomyrmex relative? - Dolichoderus taschenbergi
Lake Darling, Ward County, North Dakota, USA
May 8, 2010
Size: aprox 3mm
Found on top of a hill along a ravine. extremely slow moving, as though they were groggy (temp. 50 some degrees F). They may have just been coming out as I haven't noticed them before. Amazingly reflective, and smooth bodied. Their mound was about 4 in. in diameter.
