Identification
Similar to other pearly-eyes, but more northern in range, bases of antennal clubs black.
Range
Eastern North America, south to mid-Atlantic states
Habitat
Deciduous forests
Season
May-September (2 broods)
Food
Adults take fluids, such as from dung, fungi, carrion, and sap. They usually do not take nectar.
Life Cycle
